چکیده

4 Nitrophenol (NP) or para nitrophenol (PNP) is one of the emerging pollutants from pesticides industries and it a major discharge any phenol consuming industry also severs as pharmaceutical wastewater. Design development photocatalytic treatment p-nitrophenol particularly to suit recovery reuse catalyst will aid in its commercial scale development. P-nitrophenol degradation has been studied cellulose acetate immobilized TiO2 continuous reactor. The prepared were characterized using SEM, DRS-UV, XRD, FT-IR. efficiency for varying pH, dosage supports. overall 89 % was observed doped (CA/TiO2) than compared bare (74 %). kinetics pseudo first order mechanism discussed.

Optimization of Photocatalytic Degradation of Phenol Using Simple Photocatalytic Reactor

The phenol photocatalytic degradation was investigated using heterogeneous catalyst Ag-doped ZnO nanowires under UV irradiation. Ag-ZnO nanowires were immobilized on borosilicate glass via a simple hydrothermal technique. Preliminary photodegradation studies were performed with Ag-ZnO nanowires at various concentrations of phenol (10 60 mg/L) at undiluted pH. After determination of the optimal ...

Carbamazepine degradation using a N-doped TiO2 coated photocatalytic membrane reactor: Influence of physical parameters.

Commercial α-Al2O3 photocatalytic membranes with a pore size of 200 and 800-nm were coated with N-doped TiO2 photocatalytic film using a sol-gel technique for concurrent bottom-up filtration and photocatalytic oxidation. X-ray diffraction confirmed that the deposited N-doped TiO2 films are in the form of anatase with 78-84% coverage of the membrane surface. The concentration of N found by X-ray...

Photocatalytic degradation of phenol in water using TiO2 and ZnO.

Photocatalytic degradation of chemical pollutants in water was investigated using semiconductor oxide catalysts, zinc oxide (ZnO) and titanium dioxide (TiO2) and phenol as the substrate. Influence of various parameters such as characteristics of the catalyst, irradiation time, substrate and catalyst concentrations, pH etc. has been studied and optimum conditions for the complete degradation of ...

Evaluation of TiO2, ZnO, CuO and Ga2O3 on the Photocatalytic Degradation of Phenol Using an Annular-Flow Photocatalytic Reactor

Even with rigorous environmental regulations, phenol still is a major contaminant. One possible solution is the use of heterogeneous photocatalysis due to low chemical addition, feasibility and reliability to be implanted on cost-effective industrial process. TiO2 is the most employed photocatalyst because of its favorable (photo) chemical properties and ZnO is considered one of the best altern...

Concurrent photocatalytic hydrogen production and organic degradation by a composite catalyst film in a two-chamber photo-reactor.

A novel visible light-driven photocatalyst film, MoS₂/Ag/TiO₂, was synthesized on a glass-fiber membrane. The composite catalyst film had a multi-layer structure with Ag as nanoconjunctions between the MoS₂ and TiO₂ layers. The catalyst film performed well for both photocatalytic hydrogen production and organic degradation in a two-chamber photo-reactor under either solar or visible light. Hydr...
